Ishaq Dar arrived in Gambia to attend the 15th OIC summit in the Capital of Gambia. Dar has called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza addressing the OIC summit. He said this gesture would open the corridor of peace. He also insisted that the world should hold Israel accountable.
The war in Palestine has taken away the lives of 35,000 people and badly damaged the buildings in Palestine. Dar also urged the implementation of United Nations Security Council resolution 2728 to stop Israel from attacking innocent people.
He said Pakistan is deeply concerned about the situation of the Palestinians who are fighting day and night for their nation. He further requested to stop the Israeli genocide saying that Pakistan is always ready to offer any kind of help to the Palestinians.
The Foreign Minister affirmed that the People of Palestine have all the rights to self-determination. He claimed that the only solution to this ongoing war was to create a separate state of Palestine with Jerusalem.
Ishaq Dar also addressed the ongoing oppression in Indian-occupied Kashmir. He guaranteed Pakistan’s steadfast support for Kashmiris.
The deputy Prime Minister also highlights the action needed by OIC to stress joint action by the OIC to oppose the rise in Islamophobia which has resulted in more acts of violence against Muslims. Dar said the anti-Islam content on social media is also responsible for the increasing Islamophobia.
He also urged the OIC to take steps against these information networks to control the proper regulation of content against Islam.
