Russian troops claimed to enter the town named Vovchansk which is close to the north-eastern border of Ukraine near the city of Kharkiv.
Russia boosted its attacks on Ukraine with a surprise invasion across the border. Russian troops succeeded in seizing nine villages, as a result of which many people fled to Kharkiv.
Ukraine’s army said that Russia has launched an increased number of troops saying that they had tactical success with additional forces.
But Russia simply claimed that they were just trying to stop the advancing forces that tried to harm their country. As a result of these attacks soldiers and paramedics also get injured, they have to get treatment immediately to prevent any life-threatening conditions.
The town of Vovchansk is 74km away from the city of Kharkiv, it has suffered massive bombings in the past few days. The Vovchansk area is not important for its military, as it has very low military defense but if Russia succeeds in invading it then it will be a huge blow to Ukraine.
According to the Regional Head of Kharkiv, almost 6000 people have been evacuated from the area of Kharkiv to a safe place.
Three people died due to an air strike in an Industrial area in Krasnodon. Russia claimed to shot down 31 Ukrainian drones in several areas of Crimea. When fragments of a Ukrainian missile hit an apartment block in the city of Belgorod, 15 people died in this incident.
Ukrainians also claimed to struck an oil terminal and an electrical substation that belongs to western Russia.
